LCYB League   (Game Rules)

Landrum Cardinals Youth Basketball  (starting in 2008-2009)

1.  League will follow SC High School League rules. (With Exceptions)

2.  Games will consist of four eight minute quarters.  The clock does not stop until the last two minutes of each half.

3.  Three timeouts per game.

4.  Overtime will be two minutes.

5.  Every player must play a minimum of ten minutes per game.

6.  Press Rules:  A team cannot press until last three minutes of each half.

7.  A player cannot foul out of a game.  After the player's 5th foul, the opposing team will have two foul shots and possession of the ball.

* This does not apply to JR High boys and girls age groups. You Can Foul Out!  

8.  All coaches are responsible for the conduct of parents.  A technical can be called on parents.  If this occures, parents can be banned from school gyms...

9.  Any 3rd grader may shoot from one foot inside FT line. (on free throws)

10.  Teams must play man to man defense the first and third quarters and whatever they want after that.

(10) This applies to 7th and 8th grade league only
